Natural dyeing {plant dyeing} is the most beautiful process of extracting color from plant materials such as leaves, bark, roots, flowers and more! The process is unpredictable at times, magical and calming. In this workshop, attendees will have the opportunity to naturally dye with (4) bases to create 12 color swatches from fabric or yarn of their choice. Each attendee will have their own work station. At the completion of this workshop, attendees will be able to use swatches to create note card recipes or the foundation of a lovely dye journal for on-going experimentation. This workshop will complete the intro to plant dyes series. Attendees are welcome to bring foraged materials for experimentation.

Attendees will be able to take home natural dyes for further experimentation.

Attendees interested in completing the intro to plant dyes series will receive 15% off their tuition. All levels must be added to cart at checkout for discount activation.

BYOF (bring your own fabric/fiber/yarn). Attendees are required to BYOF. Fabric or yarn must be 100% natural (cotton, silk, hemp, linen, bamboo, tencel, wool, etc.). Fabric blends with 5% lyrca or synthetic are not recommended. Questions or concerns? Please contact us here.
