upcycled + zero waste patchwork tote bag

This workshop is designed for those interested in patchwork and up-cycling materials from their fabric stash. During this workshop, attendees will have the opportunity to cut patches and piece them together into a geometric patchwork tote bag! 

This workshop will cover:

• project planning and drafting, cutting patchwork fabric, piecing patchwork including chain-piecing method, handle installation, interior and exterior fabric installation, and more! 
  
• attendees will receive a patchwork pattern that can be used for limitless projects

Friday, May 26, 2023 6pm-9pm 

Skill level + age

Eager, intermediate or confident beginner (previously attended a sewing 101 workshop). Comfortable with threading and sewing machine operations, and cutting with a rotary cutter. Great for adults (ages 14+) and children (ages 7+).

One day, approximately 3 hours

Materials + supplies

Attendees are responsible for class materials and supplies. Attendees will receive a materials list 2 weeks prior to class. 

Attendees are welcomed to select fabric that was generously donated to our little free seed + dyer's library from the friends of Modest Transitions.

Tuition cost includes workshop materials, handouts, and lecture unless otherwise noted.

Refunds + registration policies 

All workshops, classes, and camps are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your workshop to a friend or family member. Please let us know ahead of time by giving us a call or emailing customer service at hello@modesttransitions.com. In the event of a workshop cancellation due to enrollment, illness, weather, etc., you will receive 72 hours advanced notice and a full refund.
