botanical bundle dyeing
Bundle dyeing is a natural dye approach that enables creation of botanical prints, motifs, and "organic tie-dye" looks through using dried and fresh flowers, bark, extracts, and kitchen waste.
In this workshop, participants will discover the art of botany by selecting botanical materials to craft two mini bandanas, two pairs of one-size-fits-most socks, or a combination of one mini bandana and one pair of socks. Don't forget to select your project below. In the event that your desired bundle is unavailable, substitute an alternative and include a note with your preferred selection during checkout.
This workshop focuses on teaching methods to create mirrored, confetti, and tie-dye prints; plant materials for successful printing and color; hot bath extraction; color modification; and washing/caring for naturally dyed textiles.
