Sale Returns + Refunds

All sales are final for tools, natural dyes, mordants, tannins, additives, and raw dyestuff. Please carefully choose your products for purchase. If you have questions regarding the use of a specific product, please contact us or visit us in store. We will be happy to help.

Sale items are not eligible for a refund or exchange.

Workshop registration policies

All workshops, classes, and camps are non-refundable. If you can no longer attend a workshop, you may transfer your workshop to a friend or family member. Please let us know ahead of time by emailing hello@modesttransitions.com. In the event of a workshop cancellation, you will receive 24 hours advanced notice and a full refund.

Plant dyed garments + accessories

We want you to love our naturally-dyed products. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, please let us know and we’ll do what we can to make it better. Please be mindful that our products are hand-dyed and handmade, there will be slight variations in design. This is one of the unique characteristics about owning a handmade product.

All returns for naturally dyed, made to order, ready- made and customized products are non-returnable/ non-exchangeable, unless arrived damaged or defective. Each item is handmade and hand-dyed, therefore an alternative may not be available as an exchange or refund. Exchanges are not being accepted at this time due to product availability as an alternative may not be available.

If an item is unsatisfactory, a written statement and photograph must be submitted to hello@modesttransitions.com with the order number within 5 days of delivery before the product may be considered for a refund or merchandise credit. Please take into account the product description and care instructions before requesting a return. Approved returns must be unworn, unwashed and label must remain in its original place. Customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping on any approved refunds.

Shipping Policies

Please be aware mail carriers are expecting delays and staff shortages during the pandemic, therefore delivery times are not being guaranteed. Our small team will do the best they can to process all orders within 3 business days of receiving it. Once your order has shipped you will receive an email confirmation with package tracking. We are happy to announce online orders can be picked up in-store with local pickup at checkout. Orders for local pickup are usually ready within 24-48 hours, sometimes sooner.
