little free seed and dyers library
Have you noticed the small green box outside our studio?
Our Little Free Seed and Dyers Library is our neighborhood exchange tool contributed by the "friends" of Modest Transitions and support of our community. Inspired by my personal greenhouse and natural dye garden, we opened the library as a stepping stone for our future community dye garden. Our mission is to build an inclusive community to empower holistic healing using color as medicine (natural dyeing).
We believe story telling comes from one seed. One seed can build connections, communities and inspire conversation. Gardening and natural dyeing allows you to be present with nature. Its stillness and generosity is an undervalued gift.
Every month we will curate our Little Free Seed and Dyers Library with 12 essentials available as mini kits that may include vegetable and natural dye seeds, fiber, dye recipes, and supplies needed for those healing or the curious dyer.
All mini kits from the Little Free Seed and Dyers Library are FREE. Please limit one per customer. We ask if purchasing from out of town to cover shipping and if local feel free to pick up in-person. Sending a mini kit to a loved one as a gift? We ask that you checkout separately if using a different address.
If you are interested in donating to our Little Free Seed and Dyers Library, please contact us, stop by the studio, or learn more here.
